The End

Death is as light as rays of sun and quick as the warm spring breeze. Forever embracing and warm and forgetful and sleepy. A consoling hug from an eternal mother and a pillow for the soul of the weary. Soft and gentle, comforting and smooth.

And when the images of the end fill your closing eyes, take much joy in the memories of a life lived. For this is the glory of death; the comprehension of what it meant to live.

So sick

I'm tired of the spin that we hear everyday and how all us little people just suck it up. If I hear another person tell me that there's no way we can't make it right without the system that already holds us down, I'm gonna go nuts. Some retard told me today, when I was talking about socialism (not President Obama or anything), that "that what [President Obama] was doing was socialism and if somebody tried to contradict him (Mr. Obama) on it he would 'just play the race card'." That shit pissed me off real quick like. I don't give a shit about what you think about socialism or whatever, that's your right, but when your first response to a successful black man is that he can't take any criticism and will resort to some hackneyed excuse (which I fail to see how saying "it's because I'm black" can or would even be used in this case...) just goes to show your own prejudice. And then to say you're not prejudiced after that. Please. I didn't hear anyone complaining about President Bush going to his Texas ranch, or his accent, or his references to Texan pride. I guess being proud of being white is heritage and being proud of being black is boastful in upper class Republican America.

Rodney had a good idea today when he was trying to tell me that socialism doesn't work that I'm going to steal as my own. I think we should have a random selection of citizens to serve as our elected officials. Kind of like our judicial system with jurors. If twelve mother fuckers can decide whether to put a man to death, or sentence a man to life in jail, or put a rapist on the streets because he has enough money to pay for high priced lawyers (another capitalist failing) then they can certainly figure how much money to put toward schooling and helping other countries where people are starving to death or being ethnically cleansed. I don't think it takes a genius to realize that people probably don't want to be starving to death or murdered because of their ethnicity. Maybe it does.

And we keep electing rich, elite college-educated, greedy men into congress and what do we keep getting? Rich, elite, ivy school, greedy bourgeois policy. Big surprise. Most of the men that get there had their college paid by their rich fathers who have their money because their rich fathers did the same for them. And we just bend over and pretend like we could never do anything about it.

I'm glad I serve my country, because, at least on paper, my country means its people. We need a lot more service by our countrymen, because our officials definitely aren't doing it. We're all walked on and forgotten, abused by those we pay to protect us. It's like the damn mob of the United States. On that note, I don't trust police at all. We need to eliminate these shitty Police Forces and roll in a federally controlled branch of the military. I trust my shipmates more than any of these badged bullies. Because we actually have a standard we're forced to adhere to. And if we hear somethings wrong we report it. We don't live with corruption. Or else the Captain or Admiral comes down hard. There's something about accountability that makes people act right. If the military ran the PDs and spent more time helping its people rather than serving the upper classes, we would have a better society. Anyway, I'm gonna go get some food and I'll write more tomorrow.
